Meet Our Board Members

Daniel Furukawa, CEO

Danny was born in Orlando, Florida to Keishin and Becky Furukawa, a missionary family to Japan on furlough. When Danny was just 4 years old, the family moved back to Japan where they spent the next 10 years. Danny's parents divorced when he was 14, contributing to his tumultuous teenage years. Soon after he married his wife Donna, together they dedicated themselves to helping shape youth through their difficult years and leading them to discover their gifts and talents, and the purpose for which they were created. Danny believes that when a person discovers their purpose, that knowledge is the fuel for a great life.

Danny spent the next 20 years volunteering with his church's youth department while building a successful business in Architectural design. In 2002, he decided to devote his life to helping people full-time. The idea of opening a youth center has been Danny's dream for over a decade. His involvement in youth for the last 35 years, and his belief that his "purpose" in life is to help others discover theirs is what fuels his desire to build a youth center.

Danny and Donna have three wonderful and influential adult children who are all married, and also have two beautiful grandchildren.

He now resides in Santa Monica, CA. He has a passion to pursue God and because of that, determination, humor and a love for people. Bible fellowship, basketball, and football taught him accountability, servitude, and humility.

His journey to a healthier lifestyle started in his earlier years, when he vowed to stay away from the toxins (alcohol, smoking, etc...) that can age you quickly and slow you down. His hope is that everyone has a chance to receive and know true love.
